How to overcome common challenges and prove your leadership capability?
Reading time: 4 min.
1. Communicate clearly and properly

1.1 Leader communication is not an end point, but a journey, it is constant learning and development.

1.2 How a leader communicates largely determines how his team members communicate. Be an example of clear, understandable, honest, respectful, friendly communication.

1.3 Avoid complex, unclear formulations and double understanding - be as sharp as Occam's blade.

1.4 Build a culture of respect for time and for every communication - please do not create a culture of constant information noise and chaos.

2. Delegate and empower

2.1 From the very first steps, build a system, build a team game in which each participant has their own functions and tasks; but together all this leads to the achievement of common goals.

2.2 Trust your colleagues. Make them feel like their actions mean a lot. Help them develop self-confidence in their own abilities, praise them for their first positive changes, and celebrate victories. Please do not poison the first shoots of team independence with your micromanagement.

3. Motivate and inspire

3.1 Be an example, be the person with whom everyone dreams of being in the same boat.

3.2 Keep your promises, be honest, promise only what you are actually ready to do.

3.3 Learn to set achievable, inspiring goals; it requires a lot of courage and practical experience, but the results are worth it.

3.4 Get rid of boredom - work and live as if you were on a wonderful, exciting adventure.

4. Learn and improve

4.1 Lead by example and create a culture of continuous development and learning.

4.2 Find growth opportunities for your team members and help them learn and develop; be an ambassador for the constant pursuit of improvement.

4.3 Praise, encourage any positive changes, celebrate the victories of your colleagues.

5. Collaborate and network

5.1 Be the team member you can always rely on, keep your promises, base your work on respect, care, gratitude and goodwill.

5.2 Constantly look for opportunities for the team and for yourself.

5.3 Learn to achieve synergy effects during collaboration.

5.4 Expand your network, surround yourself with experts in your field. Stay up to date with what's happening in the industry.

6. Balance and prioritize

6.1 Build your work routine and live in such a way that after work you are happy to rush home, and from home to work.

6.2 Lead by example with balance and priorities. Remember that the leader has a significant influence on the informal rules of work. Don't spend 100% of your life working, but don't spend 100% of your time relaxing either.

6.3 Remember that in order to work well, you need to rest well. Constantly keep the rhythm: rest - work - rest.

Key points

1. Be a leader by calling; because you want to be and you do everything you can every day to become better and bring more value to your team.

2. Be real, don't pretend to be someone you're not. Demonstrate your abilities with work, not words.

3. Keep your promises; only promise what you are willing to keep.

4. Be professional, respectful, caring and grateful.

5. If you, as a leader, are asked for help, think about how to give not a fish, but a fishing rod.

Good luck!
